## What it does

- Transcribes speech in a file you already have: a voice message, voice memo, audio file, or the soundtrack of a video.
- Works from the iOS share sheet, so a WhatsApp or Telegram voice message can be transcribed without opening the app. Copy the text before closing the sheet.
- Also imports audio or video from Files, including iCloud Drive, and a video chosen from Photos.
- Runs on the iPhone or iPad with Apple’s on-device speech models. The app has no server and no analytics.
- Lets you copy, share, or save the transcript as a UTF-8 .txt file. The transcript lasts for the current session only.

## Privacy

The recording stays on the device and is not uploaded. The first time a language is used, iOS may download Apple’s speech model for that language. That download is the model, not the recording. After the model is installed, transcription in that language works offline. The app does not use the microphone. Photos access is limited to the selected video.

## What it does not do

- It does not record live conversations, phone calls, or meetings.
- It does not transcribe in the background.
- It does not keep old transcripts.
- It does not read subtitles or on-screen text.
- It does not run on Mac or Apple Vision Pro.

## Accepted files

M4A, WAV, MP3, AIFF, CAF, and Ogg/Opus when the device can decode them. MP4 and MOV when the device can read the video. Protected or undecodable files are refused.
